Sacred Stacks: A Clay Hand building Workshop

You will be surprised at how fun and relaxing a weekend Immersed in clay & community feels. Your time in the studio seems to fly by as you forget the outside world and engage in mindful making. I have received incredible feedback from past participants who have shared their experiences with me.   

 

I have chosen to do clay stacks for this workshop as they are playful & deeply moving. These whimsical little critters or shapes can be interchanged to create a different story. Whether you choose to create abstract shapes or cuddly critters the choice is yours.

The stacks we will be making are approximately 30 cm high and I will provide the dowel on which to build them, I have worked out that this height is perfect for the time allocated over the two days to create and finish the pieces. Throughout the weekend you get to shape and assemble your pieces as well as add colourful underglazes. While enjoying a tasty grazing board to nibble on throughout the day accompanied by a glass of bubbly.

Nicci will guide you through creating and stacking your unique pieces, and she’ll be available throughout the two-day workshop to offer advice and support. When: March Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th from 10 AM – 3 PM
Where: 120 York Street Albany next to Clark’s newsagency at the bottom of York Street

Price: $295 per person 
Includes: All materials, firing, a delicious vegetarian grazing board & beverages included

What to bring: Any of your favorite tools & wear old clothes because you are about to get messy! SHORT nails are a big advantage but not essential. Please note we cannot cater for individual dietary requirements so you are more than welcome to bring your own nibbles!   

Suitable for all skill levels:
No experience needed—just bring your creativity and enjoy a weekend of art, connection, and inspiration!

Non - payment within 48 hours of my reply will forfeit your reservation. Please note no refunds 4 days prior to workshop.
